This is for everyone who wants to get their hands dirty and shovels moving! One of UROC’s goals is to keep building amazing trails for our community, but every trail needs upkeep and some extra love from time to time. This is where you come in to have a chance to volunteer with us and keep the good times rolling. We will be having trail build nights periodically on Tuesday evenings so check our social media and events.
WHAT YOU NEED
We need you to bring your own snack, water, sturdy footwear, eye protection and gloves. We have lots of hand tools available, but feel free to bring you own if you’ve got them.
UROC Trail Report August 5th:There is a lot to be excited about this weekend in Crowsnest Pass.First and foremost, another great even is happening this weekend. Crowsnest Pass 100 is back for another challenging race. This year there is a mountain bike race on Saturday, and a gravel race on Sunday. Their crew have been out marking the course, and they will be using trails both at Pass Powderkeg Ski Area and York Creek. If you see course markings (like the flags in the picture) just be aware that there might be racers around. The trails will remain open, but please use caution. They have also marked which direction the racers will be traveling when using two-way trails.Second, is that Brady Starr and his crew in Starr Trail Solutions Inc. are back in the area to finish work the two new trails at PPK. We are inching closer to being able to get those open, and we are really happy with what we have seen so far.Last, but not least, we got a good dump of rain last night, which should make for some great riding conditions. Our trails are hold one tof ether well despite the hot temps, but yesterdays rain should keep the dust down, and revitalize the dirt. Temperarures for the weekend are pretty moderate, so the riding will be excellent!Happy Trails! ... See MoreSee Less
